TM44 Inspections

TM44 air conditioning inspections are an assessment of current air conditioning systems that include a full inspection of plant, compliance check and any actions or recommendations. The inspections are based on TM44 that is a CIBSE guide.

What are the legal requirements?

Under the Energy Performance of Buildings Regulations 2007 building owners or operators have a legal obligation to have their air conditioning systems inspected every 5 years if the total output is 12 kW or above (this includes the combined total of individual air conditioning units). A qualified assessor must carry out the inspection and a report and certificate issued in accordance with the CIBSE guide TM44.

What is the next step?
